FRENCH
IMMERSION
The Board of Trustees approved the beginning of a French Immersion program for
our District in the Spring of 2003. Bastion School has been designated as
the school to implement this program. Early French Immersion began in
2003-04 with forty-one Kindergarten students. In September 2008, we added a Grade
Five
Immersion class at Bastion. Bastion School has become a bona fide dual track school.
Informational meetings are usually held each February for parents of
prospective children who may be enrolling in French Immersion.
